Bordeaux Saint-Malo: much more than a challenge, an adventure.
The Bordeaux Saint-Malo (BSM) is an ultra-distance cycling challenge that invites enthusiasts to cross France, from Bordeaux to Saint-Malo, in complete self-sufficiency. More than just a sporting event, the BSM is a human adventure where everyone progresses at their own pace with a single goal: to become a Finisher.
Since its inception, the Bordeaux Saint-Malo has had a simple mission: to make ultra-distance cycling accessible to as many people as possible. Here, there is no pursuit of performance at all costs. Beginners, experienced cyclists, and seasoned ultra-cyclists share the same route, the same emotions, and the same respect for the values that form the DNA of the event: self-reliance, pushing personal limits, mutual support, and camaraderie.

One adventure, two challenges… the choice is yours!
The Bordeaux-Saint-Malo is a bikepacking adventure where everyone is completely self-sufficient. Each participant freely manages their pace, breaks, sleep and food, with a single objective: to reach Saint-Malo.
An official GPS track is provided, and a GPS tracker allows loved ones to follow the participants live throughout their adventure.
In 2027, choose your challenge!
For the first time, two routes are offered to allow as many people as possible to experience BSM:
Bordeaux Saint-Malo
The historic 840km challenge, starting from Bordeaux, for an exceptional crossing to the mythical Saint-Malo Velodrome.
The Little BSM (New for 2027)
A 430km discovery format, starting from Sablé-sur-Sarthe, which follows the second part of the official route to Saint-Malo. A fantastic entry point into the world of ultra-distance running.
Whatever your choice, you will share the same values, the same spirit of adventure and the same exceptional arrival.
More than a challenge, a state of mind
What makes the Bordeaux Saint-Malo unique is above all its spirit. Here, there are no winners in the traditional sense, nor any rankings that put participants in competition. Everyone takes on their own challenge, at their own pace, in a spirit of respect, mutual support, and pushing their limits.
All participants who reach Saint-Malo within the allotted time are celebrated in the same way. Crossing the finish line on the Saint-Malo Velodrome track, after following the ramparts of the corsair city, is a deeply emotional moment. It is the culmination of several days of effort, perseverance, and adventure—a memory forever etched in the mind of every finisher.
